So when this dad heard that his son was causing trouble at school, it made him think of the worst of punishments for his 17-year-old son. He thought of taking his mobile phone away or punishing him by not letting him go out, but suddenly he had a better idea which is being applauded by all parents worldwide.
Enjoying time with my son at the Cotton Bowl. A big thank you to Rick Bowles for the great tickets.
Brad’s teacher had told his family that their son would talk too much during classes. This way, he gave his son one last warning. ”For some reason, I said, ‘Hey, if we get another call I’m going to show up in school and sit beside you in class! ”Dad Brad said, according to Buzzfeed …
Brad didn’t really believe his dad was serious about it and continued misbehaving at school. But when the teacher called to complain about his son’s behaviour once again he decided to stick to his word.
Dad Brad didn’t mean to really do it, but he was forced to give his son a good lesson. ”Friday is my only day off, so my wife wakes me up and says, ‘Brad, it’s time for you to go to school. ”I thought, Oh no, what have I done? ” the dad said.
The next day student Brad entered in his physics class and was surprised to see his father sitting in his desk. The teen told Buzzfeed, ”I didn’t even notice him until after I said hi to all of my friends, but I was super shocked.” His classmates laughed hard at Brad’s situation as they enjoyed watching Brad suffer with his father sitting beside him. His sister, Mollie, also enjoyed the situation and shared it on social media. Molli’s post goes like this :
”My dad told my brother if he got another call from the physics teacher complaining he would go sit in his class, dad got another call.”
His mother too shared the story on social media. Bradley’s mom wrote, ”The Howard men are famous. We’ve had a great time with this but more than anything we hope we don’t get any more calls about Bradley interrupting in physics class!”
Just like his wife, Brad is hopeful that his son gets the lesson as he surely wasn’t expecting to go to a high school classroom again”. Brad senior said that the physics teacher was thankful and also added, ”I pray it was a one-time thing. I don’t think I’d ever do it again”.
I acted the same when my son couldn’t remember’ to hand in his homework. This changed big time when I set next to him in a number of classes. It’s a good thing to see parents stick to their words. Firmness and having your teen respect teachers is crucial.
